COMPANY PROFILE

Losch is a privately owned and family operated company which was founded in 1990.
The business idea surfaced during a round of cards. Werner Losch, a graduate architect was asked by one of his card playing associates, who at the time was a manager in the Hapag Lloyd Airline company, if he knew anyone capable of cleaning the aircraft based at the Stuttgart Airport. Werner Losch, who saw his profession a a customer service profession immediately recognised the potential of this opportunity. He founded the Losch airport service GmbH and was awarded the contract with Hapag Lloyd Airlines to clean their aircraft in the duration of the night stops.

After completing graduate studies in business and absolving a practical semester as a sponsored scholar of the Carl-Duisberg Foundation for Lufthansa at the JFK Airport in New York City, Marc Losch accepted the leadership role for Losch airport service.

Marc lead the company successfully and the business sectors became more diversified. The German National Postal Service granted Losch contracts in four major cities to include Stuttgart,Munich, Berlin and Hamburg. The contracts involved the loading and unloading of postal deliveries from central post offices and aircraft. A good reputation attracted new customers. DHL Corporation, a major worldwide logistic company, contracted Losch airport service for Stuttgart and Hamburg. In the year 2003 Losch started a new business sector as an Airport Ground Handling Agent. After winning the contract bidding for a third Ground Handling Agent at Stuttgart Airport Losch continued successfully to acquire new partners.
Germany’s largest airline, Lufthansa, granted Losch a contract for Ground Handling of the LH Classic Fleet and for Swiss Airlines, a subordinate of Lufthansa at the Stuttgart Airport. This operation was a major advancement and challenge for the Losch company. Teamwork and a huge amount of cooperativeness between the LH Station Stuttgart and the Ground Handling Team from Losch allowed for a smooth transition.
